3D Printing Service Disclaimer and Agreement
3D PRINT SERVICE AGREEMENT AND DISCLAIMER
Print-For-Me – Updated 2026

This 3D Print Service Agreement and Disclaimer (“Agreement”) governs all 3D printing services (“Service”) provided by Print-For-Me (“Company,” “Print-For-Me,” “we,” or “us”).
By submitting a model, requesting a quote, or purchasing a print, the customer (“Customer”) acknowledges and agrees to the terms below.

  1. DESIGN RESPONSIBILITY & MODEL INTEGRITY
    1.1 The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that their design is structurally sound, printable, and appropriate for the intended use.
    1.2 Print-For-Me does not modify, repair, or validate models unless agreed upon in writing.
    1.3 Print-For-Me is not responsible for print failures or performance issues resulting from poor model design, insufficient wall thickness, weak geometry, improper tolerances, or incompatible assembly fit.
  2. PRINT ACCURACY & TOLERANCES
    2.1 Due to the nature of FDM/FFF 3D printing, Printed Items may contain minor imperfections, including:

Layer lines

Support marks

Slight warping

Small surface artifacts

Color or finish variations

2.2 Dimensional variances of ±0.5 mm or ±1% (whichever is greater) are considered acceptable and are not defects.
2.3 Exact dimensional accuracy, perfect surface finish, and injection-molded appearance cannot be guaranteed.

  1. MATERIAL SELECTION & SAFETY
    3.1 The Customer is responsible for choosing the appropriate material for their application.
    3.2 Unless explicitly stated:

Printed Items are not food-safe.

Printed Items are not heat-proof or UV-resistant.

Printed Items are not electrically insulated or fire-rated.

3.3 The Customer assumes all risks associated with material performance.

  1. PROHIBITED MODELS
    The Customer agrees not to submit models that are:

Weapons or weapon components

Illegal in any jurisdiction

Designed for life-safety or emergency-critical use

Regulated, restricted, or requiring certification (e.g., medical devices, PPE, automotive safety parts)

Intended to circumvent laws or security systems

Print-For-Me may refuse or cancel any job at its sole discretion.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CUSTOMER RIGHTS
    5.1 The Customer warrants they possess the legal rights to print any submitted files.
    5.2 Print-For-Me is not responsible for any copyright, patent, or trademark disputes arising from Customer-submitted designs.
    5.3 Print-For-Me may retain copies of submitted files solely for the purpose of fulfilling the transaction and handling potential reprints or support issues.
    5.4 Print-For-Me claims no ownership over the Customer’s design.
  2. QUALITY, INSPECTION & DEFECT REPORTING
    6.1 All 3D printed items are custom-made and non-returnable, except in the case of confirmed printing defects.
    6.2 The Customer must inspect Printed Items within 5 business days of delivery and report defects with:

Clear photos of the item,

Description of the issue,

Order details.

6.3 Claims submitted after 5 days may not be accepted.
6.4 Post-processing performed by the Customer—including sanding, drilling, gluing, painting, heating, or modifying—voids any defect claim.

  1. REPRINT POLICY
    7.1 Print-For-Me may provide a reprint only if the defect is confirmed to result from:

Printer malfunction

Material defect

Incorrect print settings used by Print-For-Me

7.2 Reprints will not be issued for:

Model design flaws

Tolerance complaints within acceptable ranges

Customer misuse, modification, or post-processing

Incorrect material selection by the Customer

Prints damaged after delivery

7.3 Print-For-Me’s liability is strictly limited to the cost of the original print.

  1. FUNCTIONAL, LOAD-BEARING & SAFETY-CRITICAL USE DISCLAIMER
    8.1 Printed Items are not certified for:

Structural or load-bearing applications

Automotive, aerospace, or industrial machinery

Medical, surgical, or diagnostic use

Electrical enclosures requiring safety ratings

Any life-safety or failure-critical scenario

8.2 The Customer assumes full responsibility for:

Testing

Validation

Safe use

Suitability for intended purpose

8.3 Print-For-Me is not liable for failure, damage, injury, or loss resulting from the use of Printed Items.

  1. TURNAROUND & ORDER PROCESSING
    9.1 Typical production time is 3–5 business days, but may vary based on:

Print complexity

Order volume

Material availability

Printer maintenance

9.2 Rush orders may be accepted at Print-For-Me’s discretion and may incur additional fees.
9.3 Processing times are separate from shipping times.

  1. SHIPPING, LOSS, AND DAMAGE
    10.1 Print-For-Me is not responsible for:

Delays caused by carriers

Lost or stolen packages

Damages occurring during shipping

10.2 If a shipping issue occurs, the Customer must contact the carrier directly.
10.3 Print-For-Me may offer assistance but cannot guarantee resolution.

  1. WARRANTY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    11.1 Printed Items are provided AS-IS with no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
    11.2 Print-For-Me’s liability is limited exclusively to the value of the Service provided.
    11.3 Under no circumstances shall Print-For-Me be liable for:

Incidental, consequential, or indirect damages

Loss of property, data, revenue, or equipment

Personal injury or property damage resulting from use of Printed Items

  1. SERVICE MODIFICATION & TERMINATION
    Print-For-Me reserves the right to:

Modify pricing or materials

Refuse or cancel jobs

Terminate this Service at any time for any reason

  1. GOVERNING LAW
    This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
    Any disputes shall be resolved in South Carolina courts or through an agreed-upon arbitration venue.

By submitting a print request or purchasing a 3D printing service from Print-For-Me, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
